A wonderful Week

This week has been good. Not a lot of sewing but lots of time just Hubby and I. We’ve decided to take up target shooting and am having a great time. We will be leaving Aug 1st to go to Texas for a quick trip, but will be back down for Thanksgiving. So tomorrow I will be making my Aunt some bowl cozies, then I will start packing and making sure things are all ready.

Since no sewing, here are a few photos from past Tx visits.

Sammy the Sandbar deer
Loved to wake up to this every morning

This is an attempt at putting the walk from above in a wall hanging.

Have a great day and be safe.

We are a multi generation team. We create different things and a lot of times we have fun creating with 3 generations of people. That is how we came up with our name because as you will see we are "One Creative Family". Please feel free to join us :)

    1. The deer was found laying next to his mother after she was hit by a car. My brother in law brought him home and they bottle fed him. He would stand at the door to come in with the dogs. When inside you could do anything you wanted to him and he was ok. Once outside, petting was about it. My sister in law got him hooked on Twinkies and when she drives by in her golf cart she will call him and he comes up to her for his treat. Their land is a no hunting land and they have such a variety of wild life. They will hunt to keep the herd ok, but it is so fun to be out there.

      1. I doubt it. At one point when he was young my brother in law was going to take him on a run to check the cattle and put him in the cab of the truck(he usually rides in the back) . James said that deer went wild trying to get out and James couldn’t open the door fast enough. James ended up getting peed on, a black eye and sore body from being kicked. Lesson learned. These type stories are normal for them.

  1. I still have another stack of bowl cozies to make and have sold so many already. Can almost do them in my sleep now. Love the landscape quilt. A trip anywhere would be a welcome change. Enjoy.
