A Quick Trip To The Fabric Shop

Our quick trip to get some organza turned into a day of waiting. I think I will make a bag with handwork in it for these times.

Yesterday we started out at 10am and ended up back at home about 2pm. Hubby decided we needed to get the oil changed on the car and stopped at the Dealership. The young man said you will be next. Yep 2 hours later and being told we had a nail in a tire we left. Next stop QT (Quick Trip convenience store) got gas and a hotdog. Hubby’s blood sugars were dropping. Then to the tire place and another hour wait to get the tire checked and no nail. Then to the fabric shop and then home. Yep and handwork is needed for the times of waiting.

Do you keep something to keep your hands busy in the car incase you have those unexpected waits?

I started this earlier today and now I am finishing. I put a zipper bag with hand work in it and was glad. We needed to go for hubby to get blood work done. His appointment was for 8:30 and the people at the blood draw place were running late and an hour later the blood work is done and I have completed 1/3 of the handwork. That will be staying in the car until it is finished and ready for more.

Tomorrow his Dr appointment then off to an estate sale and the woman was a sewer. By the looks of the photos in the email( yes I get emails from a company who run estate sales in the area) several shelves of fabric and bags of misc.

Well time to do the dishes so I will say good night and stay safe.
