As I was dreaming of making masks at night and sewing them during the day, all else went by the wayside. Now it seems that as though there is a slow down to this and granddaughter who is a CNA at a hospital has asked for headbands with buttons on them. The nurses here are dealing with “Ear Fatigue”. Nurses are wearing 2 masks daily and when dealing with patients 3, the top one gets thrown away. So I am making some headbands with buttons on them. This way the straps of the masks attach to the buttons. Saves some of the stress on the ears.

A nice change of pace. Also I got a call from a friend who I made a nursery set for her about 20 yrs ago. Her daughter’s baby blanket has been well loved.

Needed a little fixing. Her step mom and repaired once before. It was such a wonderful thing to work on in the middle of such a stressful time.

I had to cut off about 2 1/2 inches all around but it is back together.
This last week has been beautiful even with the rain. The grass is lush and green, birds are enjoying this weather also. As I am writing I am looking out my sewing room window getting ready to start sewing and the birds are singing, and the squirrels are playing chase. It will be fun sewing with this going on outside my window.
Have a great day and stay safe.
The head bands with buttons is a wonderful idea. That baby blanket, you did a great job on it. I have some of that same jungle fabric from many years ago.

Nice save on the blanket! And I think we can all use a break from masks.
