This fall our Oak tree produced so many acorns we stopped raking them up. Now I understand why. This morning we are getting sleet, ice, and snow. There were 8 squirrels in the yard eating their breakfast. Hubby and I sat and just watched them. Tomorrow I will be taking pictures of them. I didn’t think about it.

As you walk along you sound like you are walking on crushed glass. Crunch, crunch, crunch.
We have 2 appointments today and after that I will be working on a wall hanging for one of the Middle Schools I worked for. They lost a wonderful teacher, quilter, and friend to cancer and I have been asked to take the school logo and make a wall hanging in Kathleen’s favorite color. Purple.

Here is the Logo.

This will be fun to work on. At first I thought to raw edge applique, but decided to piece it. I will be adding the words as raw edge. The finished project will be framed and no one will touching it.
I hope everyone is having a great day. Stay safe.
Your wall hanging will be so beautiful, how nice to remember that teacher, what a kind thing to do. I bet those squirrels are so fun to watch. I love collecting little acorn hats to use in some of my craft projects.

That logo lends itself beautifully to paper piecing and I look forward to seeing the finished wall hanging. It will be a lovely tribute.
