A New Year is Here

The start to 2020 has been questionable with colds, flues, and yuck, BUT today seems like it will be a wonderful year. I don’t make resolutions, because I don’t keep them long. This year I am trying something new. A yearly Mantra. BE MORE MINDFUL. In all I do and say will be more mindful. So with this decision I sit and look at this One Block Wonder flamingo quilt and am VERY mindful that no matter how pretty these are they are not for me. I love the look of these quilts, but they are trying my patience something terrible. Once I finish this I am not sure that I will be making another.

I will be finishing this top today and then will figure out what to do with the quilting and so on.

I am also starting to make some mini quilts. I have decided to make some mini quilts. What are you doing this week? Any resolutions for the year? Do you make them?

Have a wonderful Monday.

We are a multi generation team. We create different things and a lot of times we have fun creating with 3 generations of people. That is how we came up with our name because as you will see we are "One Creative Family". Please feel free to join us :)

  1. The quilt is very pretty! I don’t make resolutions for the same reason. This week for me is very busy. We started back our homeschool and after taking almost a month off I forgot what we were doing! 😂

  2. I think it is beautiful and I love all the pretty colors. Oh my goodness I have so much to do. One of them is to check out fellow bloggers more, but I have been so crazy busy since December and now here it is January and I haven’t finished half my goals so there is no room for any resolutions on the plate so far. I mostly just hope there is more world peace this year. I have many love ones I care for and I don’t like the unrest I am seeing everywhere here in our state. Living in Arizona and the election coming up this year, lets just say…none of us in our home are looking forward to the political robot calls and door bell ringing all hours of the day from aggressive politicians here in our state. It gets ugly here because we are one of those key states. I might pack up a giant bag of crafts and head to the woods as they say.
