Quilt tops finished

So happy that these 2 quilt tops are finally finished.  Now to measure them and cut the backing and and batting.  I will start with the quilting this afternoon.  IMG_6041IMG_6043IMG_6045IMG_6048The blocks of wood that are anchoring the quilt(very windy outside) are puzzle boxes my husband makes.

I wish that the Split Rail Fence was bigger, but that will be for another day.  This is what my Hubby wanted and so this is what he gets.

The story behind the puzzle boxes are that we give our kids and grandkids money (not a lot) for Christmas and to make things interesting Gary started making puzzle boxes and they had to figure out how to get their money.  Does get funny sometimes.

Enjoy your weekend.

  1. Two very pretty tops! The puzzle boxes look interesting, too, and I love the idea of making them solve the puzzle to get the money. LOL
