New Idea Day

I have been making microwave bowl cozies for quite a while now and have decided to remake them into different sizes.  Today’s size is 15×10 inches.  IMG_20170614_130107191IMG_20170614_130107191 In case you would like to make one for yourself or for gifts.

I started with cutting an oval that was 16×11 inches out of 2 pieces of fabric.  One for the inside and one for the outside. Then 2 pieces of cotton batting.  I then stitched one piece of fabric and one piece of batting together.  I did this for both fabrics. I started at 3/4 inch from the corner of the dart and sew down 4.5 inches.  Do this for all 4 darts, on both pieces of fabric/batting, pieces.

Place them together right sides facing each other and stitch around leaving an opening for turning right  side out.InkedIMG_20170614_132155898_HDR_LI Trim and turn right side out and then stitch closed and it is ready to go.
