Natural Bridges

While on vacation we went to Bryce Canyon and I bought a  pattern for the Natural Bridge that we saw..  While it is an ok pattern I have made a few little changes to it. Now I am thinking more of going thru all my vacation photos and making a series of these wall hangings.

Gift Card Holder

As promised here are the directions for making your own Gift Card Holder. 1.) Cut 3 pieces of fabric 6  1/2 inches by 4  1/2 inches

This pattern was given at a sewing club, I made one to try and I will be making more for giving Gift cards at Christmas.  I will post tomorrow the pattern in case anyone wants to make it for themselves. Just pull the ribbon and the gift cards pop right up.  It holds 2 cards.

When will I be done?!

Monday got a new sewing machine.  The table I had been using for the machine was 2 legal size file cabinets with an 8ft x 24in still up and trying to clean things and fine top of it.  With the new machine it is too tall.  Sooooooooo today we went and bought a new industrial sewing

New Janome Horizon

As you know we were on a vacation in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.  Well before we left we took my 2 yr old Singer into the shop for regular  maintenance.  Now that was about 3 weeks ago.  We went in and there is a part in the bobbin mechanism that is on order

Home Again

We made it home from our 4,000 mile, 4 states, 3 time zones, quilt stores in each state, numerous National Parks, and snow and temperatures 14 degrees with a wind chill of -2 on Pikes Peak Mountain.  We had a wonderful time and saw many wonderful sites.  All the National parks now have quilt blocks

Early morning

This morning we  were up and at the Grand Canyon to see the sunrise.  It was beautiful.  I have seen so many beautiful places we are getting numb.  I bought quilt blocks in the gift shop at the Grand Canyon today.  I was surprised.  Gary said he takes me to see one of the 7
